redsn0w is an idevice jailbreaking instrument for OS X and Windows. Initially called Quickpwn, yet because of misuse of the name by www.quickpwn.com, rendition 0.7 was renamed to redsn0w and included opening of underpinned apparatuses. 

Adaptation 0.8 included underpin for jailbreaking the iphone 3gs. 

Adaptation 0.9 beta 3 was discharged for Windows and Mac OS X, and it permits ios 3.0 through 3.1.2 to be jailbroken. It incorporates underpin for all units aside from the ipod touch 3g, and underpins a fastened escape on iphone 3gs units and ipod touch 2g units with new bootroms.
